Why I'm doing this
You know what? I've let other people look after my world for too long. Time to STEP UP. I dearly love the idea of getting out there and doing something with my own hands to redistribute my wealth and help those in need. Help me do this by sending me to Haiti.
So what's in it for you?
Most of you reading this will be my costume geek friends, so let's talk geek.
The Peacock Dress, made in 1902, is my Great White Buffalo, often admired but never attempted. Cloth-of-gold, beetle wings, acres of beadwork - and that's after making the gazillion layers of undies. It's a 50-mile professional dressmaker's marathon, and you can sponsor each stitch.
If we raise a total of $500, I'll make the combinations. $1000 and I'll make the first petticoat. $2000 gets the corset, and for $3000 it'll be embroidered. Get me above $5000 and the underwear will be complete... and we can move on to Demi's ticket to Haiti. (Meanwhile, she'll be waiting on me hand and foot, like a good girl, while I stitch. Yes she will.)
If you don't sponsor me, I won't make a thing. I'll just be over here quietly running my business instead this year. Which means that Cinderella will be going to the ball naked. You have been warned.

In June 2011, Misha Collins, Matt Cohen and the Random Acts team will take a group of 40 lucky people to Jacmel, Haiti to help build a refuge for some of Haiti’s hungry and homeless children.
You can be a part of this unique and exciting experience by raising donations for Random Acts. The first 40 people to raise $5,000 each will earn the opportunity to be a part of bringing Hope to Haiti.
