I'm a follower of Jesus Christ.
I am married to my best friend, and we have four beautiful daughters.
I am a pastor in San Jose, CA and I've been working with students for 29 years.
Long ago, I discovered that people will go out of their way to participate in something that provides them with a sense of adventure and purpose. Since then, I have enjoyed creating those types of opportunities for my family, the young people and adults in our ministry, and others.
Our projects are an outgrowth of this adventurous, purpose-filled life God has called us to, and a tangible expression of the love of God for the poor and the suffering in this world.
Every dollar you contribute enables us to provide four nutritious meals for a child in need, or a one year supply of safe, clean water for a person in Africa! Hard to believe, I know. But we've been doing it for about 4 years now, in places like Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Sudan, Haiti, and the Philippines. (Track our progress at www.4others.org.)
It's hard to imagine the impact clean water can have on a community. (If you need a little help, try going even one day without it.) We've seen entire communities transformed through access to clean water and improved sanitation. And, of course, you need only to look at some of the pictures I've uploaded to see the dramatic difference one nutritious meal a day can have on the life of a child struggling with extreme malnutrition.
4others uses 100% of the funds we receive to provide sustainable clean water solutions in sub-Saharan Africa, and life-saving nutritious meals for children in the developing world. You may never come across a better way to invest your time, talent, and treasure than partnering with us to save lives by providing two of life's most basic necessities -- food and water.
