Help Oakland East Bay Symphony provide FREE family concerts in the East Bay!
This concert supports the mission of the Symphony by providing a fun, safe, free event to celebrate Independence Day, ensuring that the people of Richmond, West Contra Costa County and Northern Alameda County can participate in a high-quality music experience and community event, regardless of their economic situation.

Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Craneway Pavilion

Inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, Craneway Pavilion will host a patriotic, family friendly celebration featuring live music, food and fireworks.
The live music line up begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring opening performers including Khalil Shaheed and Oaktown Jazz Workshops and Hilltop Community Church Choir. At 8 p.m. the Oakland East Bay Symphony, conducted by Music Director Michael Morgan, will begin its set of popular and rousing works to celebrate America's Independence Day in a program that also features pianist Misha Galant, who was the Jr. Division winner of the OEBS Young Artist Competition. The Symphony's set will end as the city of Richmond's Firework Display launches over the water.
