STUFF ABOUT ME:

Don't worry, I'm not leaving crowdrise (despite what that big, empty space under "projects" might lead you to believe) ... seriously, do you think you can get rid of me THAT easily?? ;)

I've simply decided it's time for a fresh start. New Rise, new projects, new pictures ... I'm going to spend a few days deciding which charities are closest to my heart, and looking at ways I can make a meaningful impact in my fundraising. Then I will "relaunch" my projects, and really focus on the few projects I plan on supporting.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:

  • because validation is good for the soul. Not quite as good as belgian chocolate or a really fine liquer, but all the same I'll take what I can get
  • because it's better to give than recieve, so in asking for your vote, I'm really only thinking of your well-being. I *could* give you a vote, but I wouldn't want to be miscontrued as being selfish by making myself feel good rather than you ;)
  • because if you don't, the stormtroopers will get you. For real.

Hi Jaimes! Sending a hello and nice to meet you vote your way! :)

I recently arrived down in South Africa to help the Imagine Scholar team (with Corey Johnson) for the next year and cannot rave enough about the work the organization does. The students have truly brightened up my life and blown away all preconceived expectations. I'm really stoked to be working for such a great cause, and am overly excited about all the awesome projects we have in the works for these inspiring kids (the first of which is our SUPER COOL WATER COOLER project to provide clean drinking water for 6 months).

I’d truly love your help though! I’m new to the crowdrise world, so any guidance or advice you could provide a crowd-rise newbie would be greatly appreciated. I wish you all the best. Cheers!
