I was made aware of a need that the Maasai in Kenya have by Glen Hansard and The Swell Season. Please take a moment to find out how you can help them by reading below.
Last summer Glen Hansard and Edward Norton had the honor of spending time in the company of the Maasai Tribe while traveling in Africa. While there it became apparent of their impending need for a new truck to haul medical supplies, food and other important goods. Glen was so moved by the experience that he offered to do whatever he could to raise both awareness of the tribe as well as funds to assist in the purchase a vehicle.
They are in the pursuit of raising $70,000. We are blessed so much and the least we can do is give even the tiniest donation. Even $1 helps. It all adds up.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
We can really do something great here if we take the time to reach out to all our friends and give whatever we can. Big things can happen if we use our collective power. Get involved. You can and will make a difference.

Your commitment to philanthropy is awesome and I just voted for you 'cuz I'm a sucker for my fellow do gooders. So I'm wondering - what are you doin' for St. Patrick's Day?
Before donning your party frocks, I'd like to ask you to think about what you'll spend for your night on the town and match those funds with a donation to The Nature Conservancy. Or consider staying in that night and donating the money you would have spent - you could even host and get all your buddies together and have them donate what they would have spent out.
We'd love to know if you'll join us in putting the green back in St. Patrick's day - you can go to http://www.crowdrise.com/greenstpatricksday/ to tell us about it and how you pledge to help.
Let's all Put the Green Back in 3/17! Thousands of dolphins and wolves will thank you - and you might even understand them if you speak dolphin or wolf.
