In kindergarden we were asked what we wanted to be when we grow up and draw it on a piece of paper. Odd homework assignment for someone who barely knows her ABC's, but this was one of the hardest homework assignments I've ever had. Not because I can't draw (I really do suck), but for the fact that I couldn't choose. I want to be a police officer and help those who are in need and bring justice to those who deserve it.... no wait....but I want to help sick helpless animals who can't speak for themselves...Yes! that's it! I want to be a veterinarian... wait... but i want to save lives....maybe a doctor? Since I couldn't make up my mind on this life changing homework assignment, I drew all of them. Doctor, veterinarian, police woman...thingy. That's what I wanted to be, everything.
Those same conflicting decisions have stayed with me all the way till college. Now I'm 22 and have chosen a career path (though the road to that decision wasn't easy, as you could imagine). I'm majoring in exercise physiology and am pursuing a career in clinical exercise physiology, aka, helping the people in our country trapped in our obesity epidemic, suffering from heart attacks, strokes, and dying from complications due to obesity. My passion is helping people take their life back. Problem is, I have so many different passions but I can't do them all for a career.
So here I am, asking you to help me help different causes and fulfill my childhood dream.
