THE STORY:
Daraja, an Academy of Leaders.
This was a dream started by my husband and has become the most fulfilling work of my life. It is a true privilege to get up each morning and go to work on behalf of amazing, intelligent, incredible women who simply lacked the access to further their education.
The Race for Daraja, as part of the San Francisco Bay to Breakers Race, gives me the opportunity to raise awareness about these incredible girls and to help raise funding to support their education.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu once said, "Do your little bit of good where you are; its those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."
