BENEFITING: Nomi Network

EVENT DATE: May 27, 2012

THE STORY:

Yes, it's my birthday once again...and before you all rush out to buy me a cocktail or lobster tail, I'd like to tell you another tale.

This year is only 39 and there's a lot to accomplish before that big 4-0! So, I thought that raising money for a great cause should be #1 on my list of items to do this year. So here goes!

As you know, I'm on the board of Nomi Network, an organization that works tirelessly to eradicate human trafficking around the globe. Nomi is focused on addressing the issue of poverty that is a key factor in increasing the vulnerability of victims of trafficking. Nomi Network creates training and job opportunities for women at risk or survivors of human trafficking through the production of fair-trade products. We empower women to believe in a better future for themselves and their families. We currently have efforts in Cambodia and India.

I'm committed to helping further Nomi's cause, so instead of any cocktails (which you all know I do love!), birthday presents or lobsters, I would ask that you would all consider making a donation to help women & children at risk.
