STUFF ABOUT ME:
I'm passionate about politics, conservation projects like the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, and I'm a big believer in giving to the American Cancer Society. Giving to the American Cancer Society is in particular very personal to me. Both my parents had cancer, and I have had it. Mine was very minor and very treatable though and I'm very lucky.
I love sunrises, going to wine tasting events, and reading. I used to moderate a book club, but sadly I work too many hours to do that anymore.
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world. in fact, I would love to travel the world...maybe I'll get to do one of those around the world trips someday.
Favorite Movies- The Painted Veil, The English Patient, and Gone with the Wind.
Favorite Music- Radiohead, U2, Snow Patrol, The National, Sarah McLachlan, and Alanis Morissette. Also new fan of Glen Hansard. Love his song "Falling Slowly" which isn't new per se, but it's new to me. :-)
Favorite Husband- Troy Bernard (He's the only husband I have ever had but even if I was in some strange multiple husband situation like a reverse Big Love, I'm sure he would still be my favorite.) :-)
Also, I love my 13lb dog named Nellie Kelly. She's a shih-tzu-poodle. (She looks much better in a jogging suit than I do.)
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
I'm trying to raise money for a couple of great causes!! Plus, I'm super clumsy, a nerd, and I was always picked last in gym class. It will make me feel better if I get at least one vote!!! :-)
