My name is Jay and I am on a fundraising and awareness mission with my son Jonathan Morgan Heit to make a positive impact in the lives of other children on the other side of the world.
He's been acting since I was 4 1/2 years old. You may have seen him in BEDTIME STORIES, VALENTINE'S DAY, DATE NIGHT, JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES, etc. We feel Jonathan has the ability to inspire young people through his talent.
One of the things he has learned in his short life so far, from having so much opportunity, is how lucky he is. Jonathan has a big heart and a growing consciousness.
We have tried to instill in our children a sense of responsibility to help other people, who have so many incredible challenges, just because they were born into different situations.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
So our goal is to support Lauren Segal-Avenna (my sister in law and Jonathan's aunt), who is the Director of NextAid. Lauren has dedicated her life to this work. NextAid is a wonderful organization that uses music to generate funds and awareness to support efforts on the ground in Africa, making a lasting positive impact.
For Jonathan's 11th birthday, we set a goal to raise $11,000 - these funds will go toward the construction of the Kawangware Vision Centre (KVC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
In July, we had the most amazing experience in Kenya. We visited several projects and showed movies and videos to children and adults. It was incredible. There are some new pictures to your left and on the Kids for Kenya campaign page. And I am working on a new video to share with you all this month.
