Stuff About Me:
I was born and raised in Katonah, New York, a small hamlet of Westchester County. I am a 2008 graduate of SUNY Geneseo who currently works for Macy’s Merchandising Group in Manhattan on the Learning and Development team.
Prior to joining Macy’s, I spent a year working as a full-time, AmeriCorps volunteer at Groundwork as the Community Outreach Coordinator. I fell in love with the organization, its employees and the people it serves. After leaving Groundwork, I knew I wanted to stay a part of the Groundwork family in a big way; I think running the NYC Marathon on behalf of the organization is the perfect opportunity to do so.
This year's Marathon will be my first. Although I've never participated in a road race before, I am honored to run (well, more like trot) as a member of the Groundwork Team. I currently reside on the Upper West Side and am in the throws of training, running 35+ miles a week in Riverside Park and looking forward to the big day!
