I'm a sucker for any project that supports literacy or fights injustice and genocide. I love animals but no matter how hard I try, I haven't stopped eating meat (I'll get there... when bacon stops being tasty.)
I am a MAJOR bookworm and love my job at Reader to Reader. Bringing books to the people who need them most makes me deliriously happy, and creating exciting new programs to meet student needs is even better. I work with teen moms in Holyoke, teaching poetry and nutrition. I'm developing a new college prep site for first-generation/minority/low-income students across the states. I'm also starting a new program for college students to design their own literacy initiative and implement it with Reader to Reader! This will increase our impact and get new blood into the nonprofit sector. Please vote/donate/start a new project!
