WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
I have decided to take on the challenge of running in the 2012 Boston Marathon for my second year on behalf of the Animal Rescue League of Boston. I currently work as a Veterinary Technician at Boston Veterinary Care at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, which allows me to see firsthand the strides that have been made by my colleagues to promote animal welfare. Last year, along with two of my close friends, we were able to raise over $17,000 to help animals who otherwise would not have been able to receive necessary medical care. My personal goal is to raise over $7,000 for the ARL over the next 6 months up until the marathon on April 16, 2012.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on generous donations to help support all of the programs that include but are not limited to law enforcement, rescue, shelter medicine, and adoption centers. This is where YOU come in! I not only will need the moral support as I train for the next 6 months (blizzards, hail, wind storms, and thunderstorms are unfortunately an inevitable part of training) but if you can contribute even a small amount it will go back to help those who need it the most: THE ANIMALS!
