Community service and the related reflective activities have become an inherent part of my life. When I went to grad school, I wrote my entrance essay about wanting to create and administer programs that would facilitate community service; yet my career took me in a different direction and I ended up working in career services. Luckily, I got my break when I got a position at the University of Michigan School of Information where I work in career services, but get to run the service-oriented Alternative Spring Break program.
Outside of this, I've also been involved as a volunteer with a local girl scout troop, with my neighborhood association, and through various individual service events. I'm thrilled to see the level of committment to service at SI growing every day!
