THE STORY:
The Kelsi Young Gift of Care provides direct support to families for respite care. Respite care gives families with terminally ill or sick children a better opportunity to fight with and for their child.
Wouldnt it be great if families were able to have someone kind and able to step in just for a little relief not for long...just for a little bit...providing mom and dad the opportunity to pay attention to the other children in the household and other responsibilities...or maybe just to take a nap. Sometimes even the smallest break can feel like a weight lifted from your back, knowing that you can step out and care for your family while your child remains comfortable and cared for.
Respite care is an essential part of the overall support to families with terminally ill or sick children, and is not covered by medical insurance. That is where YOU come in.
