THE STORY:
CAMP INTERACTIVE wrote -
Tanzania is home to Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its snow-capped summit looms majestically at 5,985 meters and, on clear days, can be seen from great distances. Kilimanjaro contains an example of virtually every ecosystem on earth—glacier, snowfields, deserts, alpine moorland, savannah, and tropical jungle—all of which are found on the mountain.
Over the week of June 7 - 14, our climbers will summit the majestic Kilimanjaro for charity and the best part is that they're climbing for an awesome organization called Camp Interactive.
CampInteractive introduces the creative power of technology and the inspiration of the outdoors to underprivileged inner-city youth. Their vision is to use positive experiences to broaden horizons and empower young people to believe in themselves and their futures!
Using both technology and the environment as educational tools, CampInteractive addresses two problems that an underfunded American public educational system faces: providing kids with technological skills for the 21st century, and instilling a sense of community where teamwork and self-confidence can flourish.
Click on one of our teams below and sponsor their climb for this awesome cause. Together we can help CampInteractive develop and create programs that inspire kids to reach for their full potential.
If you're up for the challenge and want to join our climb, Click Here to get registered for our expedition and commit to raising $7,500 for this cause.
Thanks so much and if you have any questions about the trip or our fundraiser, email us and we'll help solve everything.
