Hello Friends! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out the KUSEWERA EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM! Kusewera was started because we know the incredible impact that active & creative PLAY can have on young lives around the globe. Malawi, Africa is one of the poorest countries in the world. Most people live on the equivalent of $1.50 a day. HIV/AIDS, malaria and famine have wiped out hundreds of thousands of people, leaving many children to fend for themselves.

At Kusewera we work hand in hand with Mtendere Village Orphanage in Malawi to support and educate the children of the village and the people of the surrounding communities through yearly volunteer trips. The Kusewera Empowerment Program uses sports, music, creative writing and art to teach the children invaluable life skills such as leadership, sportsmanship, creativity and discipline, as well as encouraging these kids to dream for a better future. Your support makes all the difference!

Check out Kusewera's project goals for 2012!

~ Provide children with shoes, clothing and personal hygiene products, text books and school supplies.

~ Provide funding for the GIRL POWER / GUY POWER initiatives.

~ Construct a Sport Court/Play Area.

~ Participate in construction of Secondary School.
