Someone stole our money jar at the Ann Arbor Art Fair today. Every year we have a booth in the non-profits section of the Art Fair. It's one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. This year, today, someone snatched and grabbed our money jar and ran. The cops caught the guy, but the money was already gone.
Rather than get all pissed and form a posse to track the guy down in a dark alley, we're taking this as an opportunity to get some extra help for our project.
Remember that every dollar we raise (up to $400,000) is matched by a grant from the Washtenaw County Parks Commission, so that $60 really represented $120. Our goal is to raise $120 to make up for that. This will get us $240 in the end, effectively turning those pesky lemons into sweet, refreshing lemonade. Ahhhhh...
