A year ago, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. I would not have known anything was wrong except for the lump I found. While I am greatful there is cancer treatment in many cases, treatment is harsh. The physical side effects are tough but so is the emotional toll it takes on you and your family.
One of every two men and one of every three women will develop cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is not kind; infants through seniors are regularly diagnosed with some form of this disease. Many will die from it. We all know far too many people affected by Cancer. This year I’m running the NYC Marathon with my sister, Aimee, in support of the American Cancer Society. I am raising money to help prevent, fight, and eventually cure all types of cancer.
