THE MCGINNIS SISTERS TO RUN A MARATHON FOR MOM
Hi! Meghan & Meredith here.
We're running the ING Miami Marathon on January 29, 2012 to raise money for The Sharon Thorn Music Room at Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Music Room was established last year in honor of our late mother, Sharon Thorn, through a generous donation from Southwire Company made possible by our stepdad, Southwire CEO Stu Thorn.
Our mom was a gifted songwriter and volunteer who composed the Orange Grove theme song, which captures the spirit of this non-profit care and learning center serving adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now we're reaching out to you, our friends and family, for support! Give big, give small or give a dollar per mile (that's $26.20) - every donation counts and will help keep our mom's amazing legacy alive through all of the great things that will be made possible at The Sharon Thorn Music Center because of your contribution.
