STUFF ABOUT ME:
I'm all about kids and making a difference in the life of a child. Providing the means for children to participate in a summer camp experience, and reap the rewards and benefits that such an experience allows for, fits that bill.
You see camp is more than a world where people sit down and eat three meals together every day, serving their food from platters and talking with one another throughout the meal.
More than a place where children set the table for dinner and take all the dishes back to the kitchen when the meal is finished, without complaint.
More than a program where kids don’t play video games, watch TV. or sit in front of computers.
For underprivileged, developmentally disabled and at-risk children, summer camp offers much more.
The experience provides these children the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, appreciate nature, create positive memories, identify role models, experience self-growth, blend in with society, and if nothing else, give them a break from their stressful lives.
Camp provides a fun-loving environment where caring and sharing are given freely.
So give it up for the kids!
