WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
My fuel for the Boston Marathon is an incredible 6 year old boy named Javar. He has high-risk Neuroblastoma, Stage 4, which is the most advanced for patients over the age of 1. Over the next several months, Javar will continue to endure treatment for the malignant cells that are affecting developing nerve cells.
Despite the challenges he is facing, this little boy has a contagious smile and a warm personality that draws you in to the genuine joy he brings to all those around him. Hearing his story from his mother struck my heart with what she went through, as I could never imagine how this would feel if it were one of my boys. She described the moment she heard Javar's diagnosis--as if time froze and her world suddenly shattered, as thoughts raced through her head of why, what is she going to do, and how to move forward. Relating to her maternal instincts and hearing how strong she has been throughout this ordeal, is so incredibly inspiring.
Javar and his family give me the most powerful strength I could ever ask for towards my competition in the Boston Marathon and to continue helping gracious admirable people through the Family Reach Foundation. I CAN DO THIS!! WE CAN DO THIS!
