AFCECO (Afghan Child Education and Care Organization) is a non-government, non- political Afghan organization operating ten orphanages in Afghanistan and Pakistan where they provide needy children with love, shelter, protection, and education. They work in partnership with CharityHelp International, a Maryland-based non-profit, to provide sponsorships for these kids through a project called the Child Sponsorship Program. Their goal is to not only provide a safe home, health care, and progressive education, but also to shape future leaders of a civic society where all are considered equal, regardless of ethnicity or gender.
I sponsor a young woman for basic needs (food, shelter, health care); there are also educational sponsorships and food/energy subsidies. But one-time donations can be tremendously helpful, paying for everything from school supplies to physical activity equipment. Please check out their web site at http://tinyurl.com/ygc6vb6.

Happy holidays and new year, and many happy returns of your generosity to your own efforts!!!
On January 6th, a team of five will be in Haiti preparing to build a tent school. We have supplies, but no funds to buy land or make the school weatherproof and safe. Please give what you can- over 200 children are waiting for a school to open, and they deserve an education! Thank you for all your hard work this year, and I hope you will aid Hope of Haiti in building their school.
