STUFF ABOUT ME:
Five years ago, Will Mayer had the idea that he could train for the New York City Marathon to raise money for the school. After years of not getting a lottery bid to run, Will finally ran and raised over $7,000.00 for Harlem Academy in 2008. Much of that fundraising effort came with the behind the scenes outreach of Will’s father, Bill. Now, on November 7th they will both run the NYC Marathon as a team to support Harlem Academy.
Bill and Will have known the head of school (Vincent Dotoli) for over 20 years and have been strong supporters of Harlem Academy from its inception. Both strongly believe that every individual should have the right to reach their potential and they deeply support the academics, character building and community values that Harlem Academy provides for its students.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
