MISSISSIPPI VALLEY CONSERVAN...
Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
Mississippi Valley Conservancy is a regional, nonprofit land trust based in La Crosse, WI that has permanently conserved more than 12,000 acres of blufflands, prairies, wetlands, and streams in southwestern Wisconsin.
MVC works with private landowners and local communities on voluntary conservation projects in seven counties along the Mississippi River. The Conservancy uses voluntary tools such as conservation agreements, land purchases, land donations, and a landowner registry program to protect lands for their ecology, scenic beauty, outdoor recreation potential, and prime agricultural soils. We also work hard to restore native plant and animal communities by removing invasive species and conducting prescribed burns.
