I am a teacher within the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, TX. I have worked within the Dallas ISD for six years. I have witnessed firsthand the impact positive acts of kindness have on my at risk students. This seeminly small act of compassion and kindness will potentially offer one of my students the inner motiavation necessary to move their own mountain of adversity.
The profound author James Baldwin wrote, "They were raised with their heads bumped abruptly against the low ceilings of their actual possibilities" (Sonny's Blues).
I am requesting your help to raise the ceiling of potential for my students.
