Montclair Community Pre-K (MCPK) opened its doors for its first group of students in 1998 and this year the first MCPK class is graduating from high school in June. To mark this exciting occasion, MCPK is organizing a Celebration Walkathon the starting point for which is Montclair High School (MHS), concluding at MCPK, to symbolically trace the educational journey from pre-k to high school. We want everyone to lace up your shoes and come join us!
The fun-filled event takes place on Sunday, May 6, 2012 beginning at MHS at 2 p.m. and culminates in a festive gathering at MCPK at the conclusion of the walk. Everyone is invited to walk, obtain sponsors and participate. Just come on out and join us for a stroll. We welcome all of our graduates, community members and supporters of early childhood education to join us. Sponsorships range from $10 - $100 and up. All funds raised from the Celebration Walkathon will support the MCPK financial assistance program. MCPK provides Montclair children with a high-quality early childhood education and offers sliding-scale tuition based on family income.
