Welcome to our Fundraising Page for NCKCYM Summer Camp
Let me tell you a little about our organization!
NCKCYM stands for Northern California Korean Catholic Youth MInistry. We represent the only four Korean Catholic Churches in Northern California. This is our 16th year of successful camps and are growing stronger each year. Every year we provide a summer camp for the Jr. High and High School students of these four churches and friends! We focus on a theme every year that inspires these students to take their faith to the next level! Whether it is helping them feel proud of their faith, educating them a little more on how to live out their faith, or to some, introduce a little peek in to what the Korean Catholic experience is like.
Every year we have about 200 students who participate and about 40 to 50 counselors who plan for 4 months just for this one week of camp. We gather these counselors from the church teaching staff, from local school such as UC Davis and UC Berkeley to create a dynamic team of gifted individuals to lead our camp. We praise, we have fun, we eat, and pray together to create an unforgettable week for these students. Many of these students grow up and become important role models in our churches and in their own communities. This camp not only gives a source of belonging to their faith and educate them more, but gives them a sense of confidence in living out their lives to the fullest potential!
Every year we need a lot of funding to provide this safe haven for these students and this year is no exception. We know that some of you have experienced this at some point in your lives, and we appreciate you giving back to something that you know has affected your lives in a large way. To those who dont know, we appreciate you taking the time out of your daily lives and taking initiative to help out a community who so blindly thanks you for all that you've contributed.
Our goal for this year is $10,000. Your donation will go toward supplies for camp, for giving students a means fo transportation to and from the camp site, for counselor training and development, and to underprivileged children who can not afford the registration cost
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this experience possible for so many people. We offer our prayers in gratitude and pray that in whatever you may accomplish that the Spirit of God and the fellowship of our community be with you always
