We provide an opportunity for independence and freedom to adults with physical disabilities and those in need of recovery through accessible housing, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation.
We are a private, nonprofit 501(c) 3, incorporated in 1955, operating in both Canton and Unionville, CT. More importantly, we are a community of adults with physical disabilities, who with the help of friends and supporters, created an accessible living option with support services. We are also a nonprofit nursing home offering a continuum of inpatient services, as well as, outpatient rehabilitation. We have provided services to people and their families throughout the state and reaching into out of state communities. We are a unique living option for adults with disabilities and we need the help of all our community members to remain a viable service provider.
Our vision is to be the area’s center of excellence providing the best barrier free quality housing option for adults with physical disabilities, as well as providing inpatient and outpatient nursing home care where professional, knowledgeable, and skilled staff members provide top-quality, progressive healthcare and rehabilitative programs and services.
Our mission is to provide our diverse residents and clients the environment and support necessary to promote growth, self-determination, and to reach their greatest potential.
We are participating in the ING Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon so that more of you get to know us, to be active in community events, and because it is a fun, healthy way to raise funds.
