THE STORY:

As you can see from the photo, I finished the Paris Marathon and managed to do it in 4 hours and 12 minutes.

Thank you very very much to everyone who donated money to my fundraiser.

I am running the Paris Marathon on the 15th April 2012 to raise money for U2U.

I visited Haiti in February with my friend Lynzi who runs U2U. She does an amazing job and I want to help her any way I can.

U2U is a mission project that comes under the same umbrella as Santa Ynez Valley Vineyard a church belonging to the Vineyard Churches. U2U is not supported by Santa Ynez Valley Vineyard and all money raised goes directly to the projects.

U2U is a charity that works across the world in a number of projects.  We collect used soccer uniforms and distribute them to Haiti, Africa and Mexico to impoverished children and work alongside people we have relationship with to redevelop communities.  We are also rebuilding a hospital in Haiti to provide much needed medical support in an area that is deprived from such resources.

Nicky, be sure to carry plenty of water and toffees to hand out to Alfie when you pass him at the support stations...he's likely to suffer exhaustion and dehydration driving himself from point to point along the route to cheer for you. And probably best if he stops saying "Nicky and I are raising funds for Haiti by running the Paris Marathon." Sort of false advertising. You're a hero...good luck. 1 year ago
