Hi there! I ran my first half marathon in Pittsburgh in 2011, but I'm more excited for this one because now I get to fundraise for a cause close to my heart...and it will help me in my ultimate goal of a half ironman :)
The reason I am fundraising is because a close friend of mine, Tim, has Cystic Fibrosis. He was diagnosed when we were in high school, and since then, I have seen the way that the disease has affected his life. I have a passion to do what I feel called to do, and it means so much to me to be able to help someone I love. I started fundraising for CFF through Great Strides, and have since then become involved in Cycle for Life, Pittsburgh's 50 Finest, Jam on Walnut, and as many other events as possible. It is my goal to continue fundraising and raising awareness until a cure is found.
