THE STORY:
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SLED DOG RESCUE wrote -
ROGER is a dream dog. About 3 years old and 60 pounds, he loves everybody, he is easy, calm, well mannered. Just one small thing. We think Roger fell out of, or was pushed from or hit by a vehicle. He is very scared around cars but already getting over this. He came in with a broken leg (apparently vehicle related) which is now repaired, he has had all his vetting. We just need to give the leg proper time to heal. Roger will need very restricted activity, complete peace and quiet until his bone sets - about 6 weeks. He is looking for a quiet foster or forever home who will ultimately take him for walks and help the muscles develop and the healing to complete. If you are interested in hearing more about him or meeting him, contact rescue@norsled.org.
Northern CA Sled Dog Rescue (NORSLED) is a non profit all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for unwanted northern breed dogs, both purebred and mixed-breed. We work throughout Northern California and parts of Nevada, often providing extensive medical care to rehabilitate injured and abused dogs. Since our inception in 1998 we have helped find homes for over 1,700 dogs.
We need your help to reach our goal of $5,000 by Valentine's Day- with a little bit of love we can do it!
