The holidays are right around the corner! For many, this is an exciting time with lots of presents but for women and children suffering from domestic abuse, the only gift they want is a happy home. Please remember the generous spirit of the holidays and consider donating to my "For the Kids!" Campaign.

Here's a December vote for you, friend! If you have a chance, a return vote would make you the most awesome person ever!

HI NUBS

My name is Hakeem Ngubane from Kamhlushwa, South Africa. I'm trying to raise money for our Imagine Scholar students to make it to class. Your donations will allow our students a much needed life changing education experience each month. As someone who grew up in this very tough area, I can't tell you how much this means to our kids. We are a very small organization and every cent makes a huge difference.

If you want to learn more about Imagine Scholar check out our website www.ImagineScholar.org.

Thanks so much for your support!

Happy April vote for you, my friend!

Today is my 21st birthday, and I am hoping that you will celebrate with me by joining or donating to one of my Reader to Reader projects. Most important, Hope of Haiti had a very successful trip in January, and is ready to start building! Over 200 children need a school to learn in, and we are ready with architectural plans and a whole lot of energy. WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise the money we need to get going!

Each brick is $0.75; even the smallest donation makes a huge difference. Please help Hope of Haiti bring education and hope to the children of Meyotte!

Nubs The Dog
United States
CROWDRISING SINCE: Mar 07, 2010
Stuff About Me:
My name is Nubs because my ears were cut off by the Iraqi soldiers to make me tougher. A real dog of war. While out in the Iraqi streets in 2008, starving and alone, I met Major Brian Dennis. It was love at first sight (well, for me anyway). So much so that when he had to leave the camp and traveled 70 miles across Iraq to his new location, I tracked him down. It took me three days - through the freezing snow - until we finally got reunited. That's when he realized he wasn't going to shake me.

Despite having to break some rules, he did an online pledge to raise enough money to get me back home. Now we live in San Diego by the beach, I have a book out, and we've been on TV to talk about what a great life we have together (see photos/the video!!).

Please see my Dogs in Danger project below - and pass it along - to everyone you know. Every dog deserves a nice home and family like me. And people like you (and the internet) are our best shot.
