The American Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat Al-Salam encourages, supports and publicizes the projects of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam, the “Oasis of Peace.” For more than thirty years, Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam has been dedicated to dialogue, cooperation and a genuine and durable peace between Arabs and Jews, Palestinians and Israelis.
Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel have chosen to live and work together as equals in this community to promote trust, understanding and mutual respect well beyond its own borders. At Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam, the bilingual, binational, multicultural Primary School, the School for Peace, the Pluralistic Spiritual Center, and other projects, serve the village and beyond reaching thousands of Jewish and Palestinian youth and adults.

My own personal story includes a significant period of my life, when I was a young teenager, and was directly exposed to the tragic, sad and disturbing...sometimes horrific & shocking...realities of a conflict that is much more the result of external meddling than of any of the errors and mistakes and misunderstandings on the part of the majority of the peoples on both sides of an otherwise needless divide.
I am & have always been convinced, from the first time I could first gather my thoughts upon returning back to my native USA (at the age of 15 in 1980), that peace between us Jews and our non-Jewish neighbours in the Middle East is not only possible but essential for the longterm interests, hopes & aspirations of all humanity. And that in the absence of a truly viable Two-States Peace Actuality the whole world's prospects for greater peace and prosperity are truly at risk!
I hope that as an external fundraiser I shall not disappoint your NGO.
