HERE'S THE STORY:
The little guy in the photo is Badger. Eric, Evan and I adopted him from our local humane society in Huntington Beach on January 9th, 2011. Badger is the sweetest, funniest, smartest dog we've ever met, and we're so lucky to have him as a part of our family now. Seriously, I can't even tell you how many times we were brought to tears as we walked around the humane society because way too many dogs, cats and rabbits need homes. With the recession, a lot of people just can't afford their pets anymore and the little guys end up there. It's heartbreaking.
Since pretty much all of California is in a budget crisis, the humane societies and shelters need help. If their budgets continue to be cut by their respective counties or cities, there will be closures... which means more loveable pets will be euthanized.
Please help the humane societies and shelters. When you're looking for a new pet, please adopt from them. And please, if possible, help me with this project by donating to my local one, the Orange County Humane Society.
