Thanks for stopping by my iMentor Donor Page.

If you are here, you probably know that this is my 5th year as a mentor for this program. If you're here, there's also a good chance that this is the second time I have graciously asked you for a donation since I participated in the online donor drive back in 2008.

Down below is a description of what iMentor does as a program, but I wanted to use the space up here to tell you all just how important this program is to me (don't worry, I'll keep it short).

Mark Dominguez is my third 2-year match with iMentor. Mark is a junior and attends high school in The Bronx. I will be paired up with Mark this year and his senior year, and will hopefully watch him graduate and go off to college once he's done with high school.

Unfortunately, as many of you know, this is not the reality of the situation for most high school students in The Bronx. I was lucky enough to be paired up with Mark at the start of this school year, and I can honestly say he in an exceptional kid - always smiling, selfless and always looking for ways to help others. Not seeing Mark graduate and go off to college is not an option as far as I am concerned, so he and I are focused on getting him all the resources he needs to finish school and get into a top college.

I know this is a donor drive and I'm supposed to ask for a monetary contribution here, but I think even more important than donating to this great cause, is actually BECOMING A PART OF IT. iMentor is always looking for mentors to join and help the cause. Back to the business side of things: literally every dollar makes a difference.  A donation as small as $25 allows a mentee to attend a year of iMentor events.  $100 supplies a mentee with a year's access to monthly career and college preperation events.

ABOUT IMENTOR

iMentor is the premiere mentoring program in NYC.  This year alone, iMentor will match 1,800 professionals in one-on-one relationships with students from low income neighborhoods in NYC.  In addition, iMentor will bring our innovative model to thousands of students nationwide through our national program, iMentor Interactive.  Mentoring relationships are changing the trajectory of mentees’ lives by helping them graduate high school and enroll in college.
