It’s been a year since I decided to dedicate some of my time and energy towards this amazing charitable organization called It’s All About The Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization that creates and provides new and innovative programs to benefit children’s charities and enhances the lives of less fortunate children.

Right here in San Diego, we support the Toussaint Academy, Christie's Place, Father Joe's Villages, The Nicole Brown Charitable Foundation, Crime Victims Fund, Storefront and Take Wing, programs of SDYCS.

Partying For A Purpose is our fundraising branch that produces special events such as our Annual Fedoras and Flappers Casino Night, Champagne & Purses (collect prom dresses, shoes, and purses for the young ladies at the Toussaint Academy for their annual prom), and our largest annual event that takes place in August each year, Partying For A Purpose Party at the Playboy Mansion to raise funds for all of the children's charities mentioned above.

I’m pleased to give you an update on my involvement for 2011 which in return, proved to me in more ways than one that this is a wonderful charity to be involved in!

I attended the annual Champagne & Purses event in April-2011 with a few of my girlfriends and boy was it a success! Not only was I able to bring over 15 dresses, a bag of dress shoes, and several purses to be used at the Toussaint Academy’s Prom Night, I was also able to bring friends with me that did the same thing!

People, numbers do MATTER and can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The remainder of my focus through August was to raise at least $1,500 for the annual event at The Playboy Mansion that was an “Ohh La La” theme; burlesque and corset attire. These funds were raised for It’s All About the Kids Foundation and I got the honor to be a Hostess for the weekend event. It was an incredible experience that I will always remember while at the same time raising funds for a wonderful cause!  I ended the year by volunteering at the Annual Holiday Party that was held at Balboa Park Club in December. All of the children and their families that have been helped by this organization are invited to attend a wonderful holiday party with activities, music, a nice dinner, and gifts for the children. What a way to end the year!

I will continue to support this charity through 2012 and I ask that you continue supporting the charity as well through donations or getting involved yourself!

It's All About the Kids enhances children's lives that are homeless, victims of violence, victims of HIV or AIDS, or recovering addicts, by creating and facilitating fun and innovative programs for them.

The programs include a Difference for a Day and Toys from the Heart to programs that teach financial literacy, life skills, college prep, art, music, and dance, how to increase self-esteem and that life is truly limitless! I’m looking forward to spending more one-on-one time with the kids in 2012 through each of these programs!
