HERE'S THE STORY:
Money made from musical perforamances benefit the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.
Lions are in trouble, across the African continent. Their numbers have dropped dramatically in the last 10 years: from an estimated population of 100,000 lions, in the entire Africa, to between 18,000 to 14,000 today. It has been found by experts in the field that East Africa holds at least half of the world’s lions.
The MWCT will:
•Create conservancy zones to preserve wilderness, protect wildlife and maintain critical migration corridors
•Protect access to springs and other natural water sources for the wildlife
•Help limit conflicts where livestock, human beings and wildlife compete for the same sources of water
•Promote sustainable agriculture practices within the community
If you have a passion for protecting animals and helping them live in harmony with humans, you will find this to be a worthy cause.
