BENEFITING: ELM RESEARCH INSTITUTE INCORPORATED
Beginning in 2002, Plant With Purpose (formerly known as Floresta), a non-profit organization, successfully raised over 200 disease-resistant American Liberty Elms. Thanks to their help, elms that were lost to Dutch elm disease, are being restored to California. 52 of these trees make their home at Liberty Station in Point Loma - the site of San Diego's newest memorial to World War II Submarine veterans.
We fully support the mission of Plant With Purpose to reverse deforestation and poverty around the world.
We have another opportunity to provide them with Liberty Elms. The trees are nearly 6 ft. tall, located in Los Angeles, and waiting for a group to take care of them for future planting. This is a win-win situation. If we can raise the funds, we can donate the trees to Plant With Purpose. They again will raise them to use as a fund raiser for their valuable mission. Won’t you make a donation today so we can place the trees in their care by the end of February? To learn more about Plant With Purpose visit http://www.plantwithpurpose.org/about--2 .
