POWER is a multi-racial, multi-generational organization fighting for racial, economic and ecological justice.
Our mission is to empower working-class African American and Latino families and young people to play a powerful role in the political processes that impact our lives and the well being of our communities. POWER tackles tough problems in San Francisco and beyond by developing community leaders, building strong alliances and taking action.
POWER's current campaigns aim to expand and improve public transportation so that it is more affordable and accessible, to help the environment and to create green jobs for our communities.
