BENEFITING: CIRCLE OF SISTERHOOD FOUNDATION INC
THE STORY:
I believe in the Margaret Mead concept about never underestimating that a small committed group can change the world. Imagine what our "small" group of 5 million sorority women can accomplish by giving together to support The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation. We can create a movement to change the world.
Sorority women, regardless of affiliation, have been blessed with an education. It's staggering to realize what happens in countries where women are not allowed to have an education: poverty, illness, rape, disease. The list goes on far too long.
When women receive an education and can earn an income, they reinvest 90% into their families, helping to break a destructive cycle of poverty. They have smaller, healthier families. They are less likely to be victims of human trafficking. They are three times less likely to contract HIV. They, too, can create a movement in their communities and change the world.
Please join in me in taking that first step in our movement by supporting the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation. Your one gift, coupled with that of so many others, will propel women forward worldwide by providing funding for a variety of educational projects. It doesn't take much to provide for tuition, books, fees and uniforms for girls to go to school. But those small steps for us to donate make monumental leaps for girls that need our help. How's that for empowering?
