HERE'S THE STORY:
Global Green hosts the green event of Oscars week in Hollywood to raise awareness about global environmental issues -- and funds for our projects that improve the lives of people in need. This year's event is Wednesday, February 22 at Avalon Hollywood.
At the party, we will launch our Rio+20 (AKA the Rio Earth Summit) campaign and citizen entrepreneur/local green hero contest. And thanks to Sheila E., Evaline, The New Division, DJs Garth Trinidad and Michael Smith, we will dance while trying to save the world.
Money raised from this event will help fund Global Green's programs to green homes, schools, communities, and cities. We work every day to build greener communities and respond to the environmental crisis with projects and initiatives to combat climate change and guarantee a more sustainable future -- and every dollar counts. We broke down the costs on some of the work we have done with low-income communities and green school projects, to help show you how funds we raise can be put to use:
