You can give hope to a dog like Mabel who spent over 10 years in a puppy mill cage with no human companionship. Her sole purpose was to breed. Why? Because consumers, sometimes unknowingly, create profits for puppy mills by purchasing puppies rather than adopting.
Meanwhile, roughly 11,000 animals in our nation’s crowded shelters could be saved every single day if people would simply adopt from a shelter or rescue group instead of shopping for a puppy.
Thankfully, some puppy mill breeding dogs do eventually get a second chance to have a home and a family. This year, hundreds of rescued dogs will start the most important journey of their lives with a ride … Pup My Ride! For Mabel and other once-forgotten dogs like her, Pup My Ride is a ticket to freedom and love. Pup My Ride is a Best Friends’ program getting dogs out of puppy mills and overcrowded shelters and into areas where they are most likely to find their forever homes. We deliver the pups to local partners with highly successful adoption programs. It’s an amazing program with incredible results (more than 3,000 dogs saved so far!), but we can’t do it without you.
It’s been two years since Mabel was lifted to freedom and placed in a loving home. Just $50 will help shuttle one puppy mill dog to a rescue group where a second chance awaits. Your donation, large or small, can mean a new beginning for other dogs suffering in puppy mills across the nation. Pup My Ride demonstrates that when caring people work together, we get closer to creating a time of No More Homeless Pets.
