BENEFITING: Pet Project for Pets, Inc.
THE STORY:
The Pet Project recently took in a Chihuahua, who was left without food or water for 2 weeks while the owner, who was not a client, was jailed. Our non profit's mission is to provide pet food so terminally ill people may keep their pets, but how could we say no? Pupper's care has already run several hundred dollars, which means less money to buy food for the 507 pets in our group. I would like to start a restricted fund, just for emergency pet care for our client pets, or for a special case such as Pupper. It is my hope that the decision to move forward with care, would be based on the pet's quality of life, and not on finances. Our clients have lost so much already. Please note that the $5000 off line funding is from a grant to go towards our monthly food bank and other client services. the Pupper fund will be a restricted account to be used solely for vet care for client pets, or the unusual case such as Pupper. while 5K is awesome, it is not even 2 months of our food bank budget, We still need your help!
recent update.Pupper was humanely euthanized. His poor health due to neglect was too much to overcome. it was felt that a 15 year old dog would not survive the surgery. There are many other pets who need emergency or extensive care. We would like to create a fund to cover this cost. please help if you can.
