This November I'll be participating in one of the most iconic races imaginable -- the ING New York City Marathon! This will certainly be a "bucket list" experience for me, and I'm hoping to make it even more incredible by supporting a worthy cause that's very close to my heart. Farm animals are amazing, sentient beings that deserve the same respect and protections extended to our companion animals. Each year over 10 billion birds, pigs, and cows suffer miserably in the name of the American factory farming industry, and one nonprofit continues to effectively champion the lives of those very creatures. I'm raising funds for Farm Sanctuary's efforts to educate, advocate, and initiate lasting change.
