Ramah Darom is a laboratory for innovative Jewish education and an incubator for emerging Jewish leaders. Founded 1994, Ramah Darom has blossomed into a premiere Jewish Summer Camp and year-round Retreat Center which has touched the lives of tens of thousands of children, young adults, seniors, and families with inspirational and transformative Jewish learning experiences. By working to build enduring commitments to Jewish living and a love for lifelong Jewish learning, our efforts are helping to ensure a brighter Jewish future.
Each summer, Ramah Darom becomes home to over 900 children (age eight through sixteen) from over 11 states, as well as 150 college students. The micro-society which is created in this unique camp setting fosters social, intellectual, and religious growth. Along with athletics, arts, and outdoor adventure, campers and staff receive meaningful Jewish education in a context that promotes a sense of belonging, friendship, and joy.
Throughout the rest of the year, Ramah Darom hosts another 3000-4000 people. Varieties of Jewish groups gather at Ramah Darom and enjoy the stimulation, beauty, hospitality, and, serenity found in our beautiful valley surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forrest. Ramah Darom provides a space where the spirit of Jewish life shines with an intensity that illuminates the value and importance of being Jewish.
