BIG June vote for you!!

Please check out my "Mud for Art" project...
I am raising money for The California State Summer School Arts Foundation at CalArts. Its mission is to train the next generation of arts professionals in animation, creative writing, dance, film & video, music, theatre, and visual arts. And what better way to raise money for this amazing program than to run through obstacles and mud?! And my next run is with ZOMBIES!!

Your donations will help support low-income, aspiring artists and will enable those students to realize their dreams and aspirations in the arts.

Greetings from Norway, how…
Greetings from Norway,

how are you doing? Here is my November vote for you. You are doing amazing things for charity here at Crowdrise. Please consider supporting my fundraiser for The Trevor Project. It would mean so much to me.

The Trevor Project is all about helping teenagers that are struggeling daily with depression, anxiety, bullying, discrimination just because they are gay. I am a lesbian myself and I have personally experienced how it is when people say you are sick because you are gay. The Trevor Lifeline is the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. There should be equal rights for everyone and it is time to raise awareness and help these teenagers get a good life and let them experience what true love is.

I hope to hear from you.
Cheers,
Elise Marie

We're gearing up for our Seattle to Santiago Docu/Trip and need your help. Please let everyone know about this exciting project by sharing it with all your friends and online contacts. We've recently been granted Fiscal Sponsorship from Media Island International and are working under their 501c3# until such time as we can obtain our own. The Docu/Trip is scheduled for the near future and we need to raise a bunch of funds to make sure our camera crew isn't stranded in Brazil, Belize or somewhere else far away from our main offices. Help us accomplish our mission statement of "Documenting the past and present effects of corporate globalization upon the first nations of the world." by donating, sharing and spreading the word. Together we can make a difference. Find us on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Echoes-of-the-Occupation/226676490730464?ref=tn_tinyman
or email us at pangaeaarchivalnetwork@gmail.com for more details or to make donations of camera gear or any other gear needed for the 10,000+ mile trip. Thank you so very much for your support.

Richard's Run for Childhood Obesity
Atlanta, GA United States
CROWDRISING SINCE: Aug 12, 2011
Stuff About Me:

Last Spring, I won Bravo’s “Top Chef All-Stars” competition. Today, I am working towards a new goal – completing my first marathon.

On November 6, I will lead a team of five first-time marathoners in the ING NYC Marathon to raise funds in support of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s fight against childhood obesity.

Our team has a combined fundraising goal of more than $50,000—and we need your support. By pledging funds on my behalf, YOU become a part of the solution in the fight against the childhood obesity epidemic.

Donate now to support Team Healthier Generation.

Together, we can end childhood obesity and empower kids to live healthier lives.

Thank you for your support!

ABOUT THE ALLIANCE:

Founded in 2005 by the American Heart Association and William J. Clinton Foundation, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation works to positively affect the places that can make a difference in a child’s health: homes, schools, doctor’s offices, and communities. The goal of the Alliance is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015, and to empower kids nationwide to make healthy lifestyle choices.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation:

  • Supports more than 12,000 schools and the lives of more than 7.5 million students through its Healthy Schools Program
  • Activates more than 2.5 million teens and tweens to commit to eat better, move more and serve as leaders to their peers
  • Facilitated an 88 percent reduction in beverage calories shipped to schools between 2004 and 2009 through a groundbreaking agreement with the beverage industry

In case you didn’t know…

  • Nearly 1 in 3 kids is already overweight or obese.
  • Today’s generation could be the first to live shorter lives than their parents.
  • Health experts predict that the medical cost of obesity on the healthcare system will reach $1 trillion annually by 2030.
