Research Down Syndrome wrote -
RDS Runners’ “Team Flynn” was one of our first teams running in support of Down syndrome cognitive research. This team is from the Washington, DC area. The inspiration for this team was Flynn Fry.
RDS Runners in the Philadelphia Marathon and Half Marathon asked if they could run in his loving memory. They will be:

Join the Research Down Syndrome Runners team, and participate in the 2012 Philadelphia Marathon.Your commitment and fundraising support will assist the scientific research occurring at institutes like Stanford and Johns Hopkins that will lead to biomedical therapies that will improve memory, learning and communication for persons with Down syndrome. It is our hope that each RDS Runner will commit to raising a minimum of $500 to support Down syndrome cognitive research.
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend consists of a full marathon, half marathon, and a 8K race. RDS Runners can participate in any race that weekend.
