RESTORING AN ENDANGERED SPECIES GIVES EARTH DAY SPECIAL MEANING!
And restoring an endangered species means time, commitment, and money.
Did you know. . . ?
BACK TO THE WILD
This year, 2012, marks the 25th anniversary of the reintroduction of red wolves, an animal native to the Southeast, back to the wild after their functional extinction throughout their historical range.
The Red Wolf Coalition is breaking ground to enclose a natural, shady habitat for 2 ambassador red wolves. Seeing these beautiful animals will help people appreciate them and learn about them.
Hope is born of small things. A new crop of pups is being born now in the lowlands of northeastern North Carolina. And hope for us is born of small donations from people who care so that we can continue to do the critically important job of getting people invested in red wolf recovery.
Please help the Red Wolf Coalition ensure a bright future for this endangered and resilient animal.
Thank you for caring!
Happy Anniversary and Happy Earth Day, Red Wolves!
An added BONUS! Donate at least $25 and you'll be signed up to win 2 tickets to be Edward Norton's guest at The Bourne Legacy premiere in New York in July, 2012! You can see all the tedious rules at http://promos.cdn.crowdrise.com/Win-2-Tickets-to-be-EdwardNortons-Guest-at-Bourne-Premiere.pdf.
In honor of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Red Wolf Recovery Team. These committed men and women work throughout the year, enduring hurricanes, mud, hot weather, mosquitoes, and tangled underbrush to ensure that red wolves will never again approach the brink of extinction. This is a salute to real heroes. 1 year ago
