Dear Robert, Your devotion …
Dear Robert, Your devotion and creativity has brought our organization to a new calibre. You are one who makes the change for a better world. Love, James

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify them or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.
Because while some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

And it's the people who are crazy enough to think they can
change the world who actually do.

"My grace is sufficient for …
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." II Corinthians 12:9
I was moved by an article in the AJC recently about Grainger McKoy, whose incredible 12 foot sculpture of a bird's wing towers in the plaza level of the High Museum of Art. It is entitled, "Recovery Stroke." Grainger explains, "Every bird has a power stroke, a recovery stroke, a power stroke....The recovery stroke has a certain grace and beauty that the power stroke doesn't have. Yet it's the weakest wing position that a bird can be in, the most vulnerable....If you think about it, everybody is in recovery somewhere in their lives--economically, physially, spiritually, you name it." I agree with Grainer and hope his story will provide strength and power to Robert and all of those in recovery, of whatever ailment, he supports. Love, your sister, Kathryn

Robert is the most caring and compassionate human being I know. Thee is no limit to what he is willing to do in the name of serving others in need. Robert will take on the less glamorous, thankless, behind the scenes activities simply because they need to be done. He is certainly the backbone of my personal support system; a person I can call on any time and for any reason. Not too many people you can say that about!

CROWDRISING SINCE: Aug 22, 2011
Stuff About Me:

I feel strongly about supporting causes that

     -provide respite for caregivers

-help people to use laughter and humor to improve their overall wellbeing and health

-provide relief and support for staff members of non-profit organizations

I am a certified Laughter Yoga Leader and enjoy helping others to use laughter to improve their lives and thier health. I believe in "healing the world through laughter." I have worked for a non-profit orgranization before and understand how devastating burnout can be not only to employees of non-profits, but indireclty to the people they serve.

I believe in the "pay it forward" concept.

My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at an early age. I attribe my belief in the importance of positve thinking to him.
